雷扬博士的研究方法以实证研究为主，包括问卷、访谈、二手数据、计量模型等多种数据收集及分析方法，并以实验法为辅。研究领域及问题涉及：新兴信息技术对供应链战略管理的影响、对企业战略决策的影响，及对个体组织行为的影响。目前，已有10多篇论文发表在Production and Operations Management Information & Management Decision Support Systems International Journal of Operations and Production Management IEEE on Engineering Management等国际知名信息系统及供应链管理领域期刊上。雷扬博士目前为本科生开设管理信息系统、管理系统分析与设计两门课程，为博士及研究生开设商务智能数据管理技术和应用课程。
