Dr. Daning Hu is an Associate Professor (with Tenure) at the Department of ISME of the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen China.He graduated from the school of computer science zhejiang university (CCNT laboratory) and received his doctorate in management information system (MIS) from the university of Arizona business school.

Prior to joining SUSTech Daning was an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. He has also taught at Management or Computer Science schools in the University of Arizona Zhejiang University and CityU HK.

Daning's research is in the areas of Business (Network) Analytics Information Systems/Computer Science and Applied Econometrics. His current research focuses on Fintech Social and Economic Mechanisms in Complex Networks and the Intersection of Econometrics and Machine Learning. His work has appeared in MISQ JAIS DSS JASIST and IEEE/ACM Transactions among others.
