Yu Zhou is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Osaka University in 2017. Before joining SUSTech in 2026, Yu Zhou held faculty positions at Osaka University, Waseda University, Kyoto University, and Nagoya University, where he received tenure.

His research interests are in microeconomic theory, industrial organization, and public economics, with a focus on auction theory, school choice, matching theory, and algorithmic game theory. His work has been published in American Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, International Economic Review, Journal of Economic Theory, Management Science, Theoretical Economics, Economic Research Journal(in Chinese), and other journals.
